Free Trade Agreements

With the exemption of companies in the free zone, UAE-based businesses can enjoy duty free trade with all countries in GCC. This includes Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain as its members.

Chinese businesses see it as a hub for Africa. Latin American see it as a launch pad into South Asia. Western multi-nationals use UAE as a hub for the Middle East.

Low import duty

Import duty and taxes are due when importing goods into UAE whether by a private individual or a commercial entity. Duty rates in UAE vary from 0% to 100%, with an average duty rate of 4.61%. Some goods can be imported free of duty such as laptops and other electronic products.
